| REGULAR MEETINGS Council meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm. The regular Planning Board meeting takes place on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:30pm. Any requests to be submitted for Planning Board consideration must be received by staff at least 5 working days prior to the meeting. |
| HEALTH CARE FACILITIES The Queen Elizabeth Hosiptal in Charlottetown is a 15 minute drive away. Cornwall has a medical clinic, two dental clinics, one pharmacy and a veterinary clinic. |
| KIDS SPORT FUND The Kidsport program helps children and families over-come financial barriers which prevent or limit their participation in organized sport. This program is administered by Sport PEI. If you would like more information or to apply for funding please contact Sport PEI at 368-4110. |
| JUMP START PROGRAM Funding opportunities so everyone gets to play!! Jumpstart program is a community based charitable program from the Canadian Tire Foundation for Families that help kids in need participate in organized sports and recreational activities. | WATERSHED GROUP The Cornwall & Area Watershed Group meeting is held every 2nd Tuesday at the Town Hall at 7pm. All are welcome! A watershed is defined, simply as an area of land that drains surface water and groundwater into a river or stream. PEI has more then 250 watersheds which supply us with fresh drinkable water for our domestic and economic needs. The Town of Cornwall and Area is rich with watersheds. We all have a stake in the health of watersheds because these areas are impacted by, and in turn influence activities.
